In ironischer Form werden darin traditionelle Rituale parodiert, was ein ger\u00fcttelt Ma\u00df an Toleranz seitens der j\u00fcdischen Gemeinde vorausgesetzt haben muss.<\/p>\n<p>Im Mittelpunkt von OST UND WEST steht die Tochter eines in die USA ausgewanderten j\u00fcdischen Million\u00e4rs, die in ihrer Freizeit boxt, tanzt und liest, wenn auch nicht unbedingt Gebetsb\u00fccher, anstatt zu kochen, zu n\u00e4hen oder zu beten.
